About Territory

The internet began as a place of radical equality. Anyone could publish, anyone could read, and the distance between a lone author and a global audience collapsed to zero. That original promise shaped everything we believe Territory should be.

But somewhere along the way, that promise was quietly renegotiated. Platforms grew enormous, and with size came control: algorithmic feeds that bury quiet voices, monetisation models that extract value from creators while keeping them dependent, data silos that treat users as products rather than participants. The open web became a collection of walled gardens, and the people who built those gardens — the writers, thinkers, and makers — were left renting space inside them.

Territory exists to change that relationship.

We believe creators should own their audience, not lease it. We believe readers deserve to decide what reaches them, not have it decided for them. We believe a sustainable content economy is one where value flows directly between people — without unnecessary intermediaries skimming the difference.

This is not nostalgia for the early internet. It is a commitment to building something better with the tools we have now: open protocols, decentralized networks, private currencies, and artificial intelligence that assists rather than replaces human creativity. This is the landscape often described as Web 3.0.

Territory is our bet that independence and community are not opposites. A platform can feel personal and safe while remaining genuinely open. We are building it in public, one channel at a time.

Five Principles

Horizontal participant economy

Revenue flows directly from readers to creators, with Territory taking a transparent, fixed share. No algorithmic gatekeeping decides who earns. Your audience pays you — not the platform.

Blockchain & MAU tokenomics

Territory Pass subscriptions distribute revenue across contributing creators through the MAU token ecosystem. Transparent on-chain accounting replaces black-box payouts.

Personal data sovereignty

Your content, your subscriber list, your data. Territory does not sell audience data or use it to train advertising models. Creators can export everything they publish.

Decentralised open protocols

Territory is built on open standards and designed for interoperability. We contribute to the open web rather than replacing it with another closed silo.

AI-powered creator tools

Artificial intelligence should amplify human creativity, not replace it. Territory integrates AI to help creators write, edit, and reach audiences — while keeping the human voice at the centre.

Our Mascot

Schrödinger's Cat

Schrödinger's Cat is Territory's unofficial mascot. It captures the core tension of any living platform: a community that is simultaneously free and moderated. Rules exist — but remain invisible until needed. Like the cat in the sealed box, Territory exists in equilibrium: between openness and accountability, between freedom of expression and a comfortable space for those who want to think and create.
